Supporting Facility Management
with Professional
Drone Inspections

Our team has been delivering professional drone inspections since 2016, supporting facility management teams with safe, efficient and cost-effective building and asset surveys. We specialise in high-quality aerial inspections across London, helping reduce access risks, minimise disruption to operations, and provide fast turnaround reporting for maintenance and compliance planning.

About Us

Drone-London has helped facility management companies save both time and money by removing the need for costly access equipment such as scaffolding, cherry pickers or ladders. Aerial surveys can be completed quickly with minimal disruption to building operations, reducing labour hours, site downtime and health-and-safety risks.

High-resolution data allows facility teams to identify defects earlier, plan preventative maintenance more effectively and avoid expensive reactive repairs. By streamlining inspections, improving decision-making and supporting compliance documentation, drone technology enables more efficient asset management while lowering overall lifecycle costs.

We regularly support facility and estate management teams operating within Central London’s complex airspace and security environment. Our team coordinates directly with NATS and the Metropolitan Police to ensure all drone operations meet regulatory and safety requirements.

We deliver high-resolution aerial survey outputs, as both video, photography and visual reports, through a structured workflow aligned with your maintenance, compliance and asset management needs.

Building Inspections

We support facility management teams across London with safe, efficient aerial building inspections that reduce the need for disruptive access equipment. From managing airspace permissions to delivering high-resolution condition data, we make it easy to monitor roofs, façades and hard-to-reach assets. Our inspections help inform maintenance planning, support compliance requirements and enable faster, more confident decision-making.

Environmental & Energy Performance Data

Drone surveys provide facility teams with valuable insights into building performance, helping identify issues that may impact EPC ratings and operational efficiency. Using advanced aerial imaging, we can highlight insulation defects, air leakage, moisture ingress and thermal inefficiencies. This enables more targeted maintenance strategies, supports sustainability objectives and helps reduce long-term energy and repair costs.

Asset Monitoring & Site Reporting

We provide clear, high-resolution aerial site updates that help facility managers track asset condition, monitor works and maintain accurate records across complex estates. By streamlining data capture and reporting, we reduce time spent on manual inspections and improve visibility for stakeholders, contractors and compliance processes. Working with us is straightforward, with a structured workflow designed around operational needs.

The Benefits of Drones in Facility Management

HIGH-QUALITY INSPECTION DATA

Drone surveys provide ultra-clear aerial imagery that helps teams assess building condition with confidence. Detailed visuals support faster issue identification and more accurate maintenance and repair planning.

IMPROVED SITE SAFETY

Using drones reduces the need for working at height or deploying costly access equipment. Inspections can be completed safely from the ground, minimising risk to staff and the public.

FASTER PROJECT DELIVERY

Drone inspections can be carried out quickly with minimal disruption to building operations. Rapid data capture helps accelerate reporting timelines and supports quicker fault identifcation, accurate quotes and more responsive maintenance.

EFFICIENT DATA MANAGEMENT

Large volumes of high-resolution survey data can be captured in a single visit. Outputs are delivered promptly in formats that integrate easily with existing asset and compliance workflows.

Frequently
Asked Questions

Can you film in Central London?

Yes, most definitely. We have a lot of experience filming in central London. Some areas require an NSF request with NATS and communication with Police Ranger Control (PaDP), but in most cases the flights are straightforward.

Can you conduct thermal surveys?

Our advanced thermal drone can perform precise thermal surveys, detecting heat variations, identifying structural issues, monitoring equipment, and supporting energy audits or inspections, delivering accurate, real-time thermal data efficiently and safely.

Do you have the legal requirements?

Yes, we operate with CAA certifications and abide by the strict safety regulations. Most of our shoots fall within the Open Category within Central London using a light-weight sub 250g UAV. More details can be requested about our safety protocols.

Also, as part of the CAA requirements, all commercial drone operators need insurance. Ours is fully compliant with the European law EC 785/2004, with public liability up to £10M. This can be provided on request.

Do you have any conditions?

Only related to weather. If the job is booked with an outlook of good weather and the weather suddenly turns bad, we can allow a rebooking.

Can you do the video editing?

Yes, we have a well established in-house edit suite. We can cut the video, even on location where necessary. Rates for editing will be tailored for your needs, from a basic hourly rate to a full day rate for a polished edit.

Can you film indoors?

Yes, it is possible where space is available to safely film indoors. This can include conference rooms, warehouses, museums and hotels. Please give as many details as you can when you get in touch.

What do you need to get started?

We just require a postcode or co-ordinates of the shoot. We will then run background checks and advise you if there are any waiting times for permits. We can also do risk-assessments online and advise on any issues, which are rare.
